First Steps with MFW
Welcome to the MFW app! This guide will walk you through the initial setup process and help you configure your first health tracking routines.
Initial Setup
When you first launch MFW, you’ll be greeted with our fun onboarding experience:
- Welcome Screen: Tap “Get Started” to begin
- Permission Requests: Grant the necessary permissions when prompted
- Profile Creation: Enter your name and basic health information
- Feature Selection: Choose which features you want to start with (Medications, Meals, Hydration)
The MFW Dashboard
After completing the initial setup, you’ll land on the MFW dashboard:

The dashboard is divided into three main sections, represented by our iconic symbols:
Setting Up Your First Medication
Let’s set up your first medication reminder:
- Tap the Medications (pill icon) tab
- Tap the + button in the bottom right corner
- Enter the medication details:
- Medication name
- Dosage information
- Frequency (daily, weekly, as needed)
- Time(s) for reminders
- Tap Save to create the medication reminder
Configuring Meal Reminders
To set up your meal schedule:
- Tap the Meals (fork icon) tab
- Tap the Settings gear icon
- Choose from preset meal schedules or create a custom one:
- Standard (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
- 5-Meal Plan (includes two snacks)
- Custom (create your own meal schedule)
- Set your preferred times for each meal
- Tap Save to activate your meal reminders
Setting Hydration Goals
Let’s configure your hydration tracking:
- Tap the Hydration (water drop icon) tab
- Tap the Settings gear icon
- Set your daily water intake goal (the app suggests a default based on your profile)
- Configure reminder frequency (e.g., every 2 hours)
- Choose your preferred measurement unit (ml, oz, cups)
- Tap Save to start tracking your hydration
Checking the Achievements Tab
MFW uses achievements to make health tracking fun:
- Tap the Profile icon in the top right
- Select Achievements
- Browse available achievements and badges
- Set a goal to unlock your first achievement!
Customizing Notifications
To personalize how MFW reminds you:
- Tap the Profile icon
- Select Settings
- Tap Notifications
- Customize the notification style:
- Sound options
- Vibration patterns
- Notification wording (Standard or Cheeky)
- Priority level
